The housing market inventory is at its lowest level in years, and the average number of days listings stay on the market in Ottawa is 36, which is very low in Canada. Properties are moving very quickly as days on market continue to decline.
The number of sold properties in Ottawa in January 2019, 209 condominiums, an increase of 20.8% from January 2018, and 611 residential properties, an increase of 14.2 % from January 2018.
The total number of sold properties 820 compared with 708 in January 2018 an increase of 15.8%
The average sale price for residential-class property was $432,829 an increase of 1.5% from January 2018.
The average sale price for condominium-class property was $283,990 an increase of 7.7% from January 2018.
Condominium sales continued to lead the way in January which included a higher average price percentage increase than single-family residential sales this month.
